Great concert in St. Louis Sunday night. Not certain what was better-- his singing or banter with the crowd. Most amazing thing was when some guy had some physical problems in the audience, and the EMT's and police showed up with an ambulance and stretcher to get the guy out -- right in the middle of the show!

Dan never quit playing! When it was all over, he pondered the moment before the next song, and said ... "You know, you try to get a little momentum going in a show -- and then the paramedics show up!"

He is a treat and one of a kind. I've heard his music for 20-plus years, but this was the first time I'd ever had the pleasure of hearing him.

Except for some overly loud patrons (which he chastised once with a "and now ladies and gentlemen, we're going to ask this guy over here to shut up...") it was a great setting.

I'll now go and see him whenever I can. The show was even better than I expected.

Although he only had Tom Mitchell with him, Dan delighted the crowd by "singing" all the Lickett parts on a couple of songs. He had the place laughing uncontrollably a couple of times, and was seeming to have a great time.

He's going to KC from here -- folks, go see him. It is tremendous fun indeed.

It was the best show. I never thought I would get a chance to see dan hicks live , but tonight it was a beautiful show in st louis. He was cute and funny and his voice just right. He had to reprimand a behavior disordered section and appropriately played canned music while some poor guy was carried out on a stretcher
I think I learned my lesson just dont get too near the band..........
we got to see a real artist this evening
I'll never forget it
more later, vicki
