Subject: [hix] Rams Head, Sunday Jan 13, 2001

This show at the Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis, MD was rescheduled from October 31, 2001, and the last performance of a busy two-week Northeast tour. Despite the rigors of almost-nightly performances and the two shows the prior night at the Bottom Line in NYC, Dan's performance was as strong, or stronger than his first show of the tour at Wolf Trap on December 28. I counted 27 "Ladies and Gentlemen," each one more sincere than the next. He danced, played lead guitar on How Can I Miss You, air guitar in front of Tom Mitchell, and blew the harmonica, briefly. The playlist:
1. Canned Music
2. Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy
3. I Got Mine
4. The Piano Has Been Drinking
5. Feel Like Singing (with Susan Rabin scatting)
6. Doodling (Dan noting it would be on his next album, "Live From Eagle Alley")
7. Honeysuckle Rose
8. I Scare Myself ("a love song")
9. How can I miss you when you won't go away
10. Bottoms Up
11. The Buzzard was their friend
12. Gimmie the Simple Life
13. (encore) Waitin
14. Milk Shaking Momma
