couple notes on my impressions of the Borders Seattle gig. The band
came in looking like they had been put through the ringer. Trouble getting
through the rental car maze at the airport. Dan Hicks was in rather
foul temper. BUT somehow he can get away with it. Made for some pretty
cool adlibs of accents and impromtu stories and unscheduled solos that
had the band guessing. They make a wonderful noise. Finally, Hicks DID
come back and sign CDs and the store posters that were given away. I
couldn't make the evening show unfortunately. The album is great. Everyone
support this guy so we don't have to wait so long for more music. But
I guess I'm preaching to the choir. Roger
